Welcome to the Author Guidelines page of the GIAR INTERNATIONAL Journal of Interdisciplinary Research (GIAR-IJIR). Authors intending to submit manuscripts are requested to read these guidelines carefully before submission. Compliance with the journal’s scope, submission requirements, formatting standards, and ethical policies is essential for smooth editorial processing.
GIAR-IJIR accepts original, unpublished, and ethically conducted scholarly work that contributes meaningfully to interdisciplinary research and academic dialogue. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s requirements may be returned for correction before editorial screening or peer review.
Before You Submit
Authors are strongly advised to ensure that:
- the manuscript falls within the aims and scope of the journal
- the work is original and has not been published previously
- the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere
- all authors have approved the submission
- the manuscript is prepared for anonymous peer review
- all required documents are complete and ready for upload
Before submission, authors should also review the journal’s related policy pages, including the Submission Policy, Peer Review Policy, Publication Ethics, Copyright and Licensing Policy, Conflict of Interest Policy, and Research Ethics requirements.
Required Submission Package
A complete submission to GIAR-IJIR should include the following files and documents:
- Title Page
- Anonymized Manuscript
- Copyright Form
- Author Undertaking / Declaration Form
- Plagiarism / Originality Declaration, where applicable
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure, where applicable
- Supplementary Files, if any
Title Page
The title page should include:
- full title of the manuscript
- full name of each author
- institutional affiliation of each author
- corresponding author details
- email address of the corresponding author
- ORCID iD, if available
- funding statement, where applicable
- conflict of interest statement, where applicable
- acknowledgements, if any
Anonymized Manuscript
The anonymized manuscript must not contain any identifying information. Authors should remove:
- names of authors
- affiliations
- acknowledgements revealing identity
- identifying footnotes
- personal details in headers, footers, and file properties where possible
This is necessary because GIAR-IJIR follows a double-blind peer review process.
Formatting Requirements
All manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word format and should follow the journal’s formatting standards.

- one-inch margins on all sides

Authors are encouraged to maintain a clean and consistent layout throughout the manuscript.
Manuscript Structure
Authors are advised to organize their manuscripts in the following order:
- Title
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Literature Review / Theoretical Framework
- Methodology
- Results / Analysis
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
- Appendices, if required
The structure may vary slightly depending on the article type, but the manuscript should remain logically organized and academically coherent.
Abstract and Keywords
Each manuscript must include:
- an abstract between 150 and 250 words
- 4 to 6 keywords
The abstract should briefly and clearly present:
- the purpose of the study
- the methodology or approach
- the main findings or argument
- the significance of the work
Word Limits
The recommended word limits are as follows:
- Research Article: 3000–7000 words
- Review Article: 3000–8000 words
- Conceptual Paper: 2500–6000 words
- Case Study: 2000–5000 words
- Short Communication: 1000–2500 words
- Book Review: 800–2000 words
Authors should remain within these ranges unless prior approval is obtained from the editorial office.
References
Authors should use APA 7th edition or the reference style prescribed by the journal. It is the responsibility of the authors to ensure that:
- all references cited in the text appear in the reference list
- all reference entries are accurate and complete
- citation style is applied consistently
- DOI or URL is included where appropriate
Tables, Figures, and Supplementary Material
Tables and figures should be clearly numbered and titled. Authors must ensure that:
- tables and figures are relevant and properly cited
- images and illustrations are of suitable quality
- permissions are obtained for copyrighted third-party content
- supplementary files are clearly named and explained
Ethical Requirements
Authors submitting to GIAR-IJIR must ensure that their work complies with accepted academic and publication ethics. Authors must:
- submit original work only
- avoid plagiarism and duplicate publication
- disclose any conflicts of interest
- acknowledge funding sources where applicable
- confirm authorship accurately
- provide ethics approval or participant consent information where relevant
Any form of plagiarism, fabricated data, falsification, duplicate submission, or unethical conduct may lead to rejection or later retraction.
Double-Blind Review Preparation
Since GIAR-IJIR follows a double-blind peer review process, authors must submit their work in a review-ready anonymized form.
Before submission, please remove all identifying material from the manuscript. The editorial office may return non-anonymized manuscripts for correction before review begins.
Language and Proofreading
Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English. Authors are encouraged to proofread carefully before submission. Manuscripts with serious language, formatting, or structural problems may be returned before peer review.
